Episode 5

Welcome back!  The Star Frontiers Network is pleased to present Episode 5 of the Whispers from the Void podcast. It’s been over a year since the last episode and this one was nearly a month in post production.  All of that has been due to a serious lack of time on my part.  However, I’m going to try to get the ball rolling again and get the podcast under way once more.

In this episode, I sit down and talk with Tom Verrault, known as jedion357 in the Star Frontiers on-line community.  We discuss a wide range of topics including how he got started with and back into Star Frontiers, his sources of inspirations for ideas and writing for the Star Frontiersman and several of the projects he is working on.

This is the longest podcast yet and future podcasts will probably be of similar length.  There is just too much to talk about to try to squeeze it into under 20 minutes.  As usual there is a Choose Your Own Adventure segement at the end.  Jump over to the Adventure forum to cast your vote for where the story will go next.

Enjoy the show!

Welcome to Episode 4 of the podcast. Sorry about the delay. I’ve been quite busy and seem to have lost track of time. This episode contains clips from a conversation between myself, Larry Moore and Gary Cliff after an on-line gaming session. We talk a bit about the game and Gary’s Star Frontiers background. Enjoy.

New banner image on site

terlobar | October 18, 2009 in Uncategorized | Comments (0)

I’ve updated the banner image from the generic one from the theme I’m using to a more apropriate Star Frontier’s themed one.  The image is a bit of the cover image from SFAD6:  Dark Side of the Moon.  It’s been tweaked a bit to show the distortion of the Void coming through the window of the ship and the colors inverted.  This is a nod to the description in the Knight Hawks campaign book (p 33) that describes Void travel as follows:

During the breif period the ship spends in the Void, characters will feel that their senses are very distorted; colors and sounds will be unfamiliar, and the sense of touch will seem to vanish completely.

Let me know what you think of the new banner in the comments.

Episode 2

Welcome to episode 2 of the Whispers from the Void podcast.  This is the first of a two part series where we talk with Art Eaton, current owner of the starfrontiers.org site.  In this segment we discuss Art’s history with Star Frontiers and the history and content of the starfrontiers.org website.

Due to vocal enthusiasm for the idea (you know who you are!), I’ve added a “Choose Your Own Adventure” segment to the podcast.  We’ll see how it goes.
